These gravestones were up the top of the cliff near the abbey at Whitby. It looks like the effect of weathering and time were too much for this stone, and eventually it needed to lie down.
Reminds me of the vandalism that has swept thru many graveyards. Can’t quite understand how anyone could do that but there’s plenty more deviations I can’t get to grips with, too. Nice capture and I like your words!
