Creels

Doing a little searching it would appear these boxes coverered with netting are called creels. They are used for catching crab and lobster. There are loads of them on the quayside at Whitby. I thought a close up of them would be quite nice.

You were right : a close-up makes a wonderful pattern-within-pattern effect and I like the angle you have set it at and the high contrast here. Excellent shot.

I love this! There are some of these in the harbor near my house. I've been wanting to go shoot them. You just re-inspired me!
