We came across what was, judging by the evidence on the floor, an apple tree. In fact there were two oe three of them together, in the middle of nowhere. This is presumably the normal situation for the fruit, as not too many people will walk past here on a regular basis to pick it.

And that’s a crazy-looking tree! If we could ask how it got there and got to be so reckless in shape, I can imagine it saying “Oh, you just wouldn‘t believe what I’ve been through over the years!”
