I noticed yesterday that it's lightening up on a evening now. 2-3 hours more light and I may be able to get out and take some shots during the week! Anyway, with it getting lighter, it won't be long before the trees are regrowing all the leaves, and these sparse shots are no more. Well for another 8-9 months anyway.

Despite the rain, this comes across as a cheery shot because of those vibrant berries. DoF is very defining here to excellent effect. I find modern zooms are not so good at this . . but I don’t care to lug all those primes!
I agree with that. Since I got my 18-200vr I tend to use it for virtually everything.
