Glitter and Doom

I know I said that I was going to publish images more regularly but since then I've had a week in spain at La Pinada and after returning for a day travelled up for an overnight stay in Edinburgh to see Tom Waits on the second of his dates at the Edinburgh Playhouse.

To say I was eagerly anticipating this show is a HUGE understatement as I've been waiting to see him for 25 years, and I certainly wasn't disappointed. Then again, there was never a chance I would have been disappointed. This shot was taken as we surveyed the area, checking out the location of the theatre.

I've just realised exactly how few images I've been posting, as these shots from Cyprus are from nearly a year ago. I'll have to try and post a bit more frequently from now.

This guy had just set up and was starting to pump the water from his three boats. he might have bee better spending some time looking at why the water was entering in the first place!

I came across this war memorial in a small village in the Troodos Mountains. A reminder that the first time I visited Cyprus in 1982 the Southern part of the island was only just starting to recover from the troubles.
