When I took this shot, about a month ago, the lift was closed, presumably for a winter break. So everybody has to walk up the bank or steps. I assume it will be open shortly for the influx of summer visitors. Mind you, I nearly always take the steps anyway.

I spotted this lad, totally engrossed in whatever he was doing on his phone. And then the surfer set off back out to sea, and it just felt right to me.

Sorry if it's getting boring seeing tractors, but I like them. This is a very similar shot to one about a week ago, but I think the balance of the image is better as it shows a complete tractor on the right to balance the tractors on the left. In fact I've just noticed the tractor in the distance is the one from a couple of days ago also.

Another Saltburn tractor on the beach. I thought I'd add a bit of noise to this one, to alter the feel of the shot. I like it anyway, gives it a sort of desolate feeling.

It was a cold day at Saltburn when we were there, with the wind whipping off the sea. I love these old tractors, It amazes me that they continue working year after year, through all types of weather.

Above the Valley gardens at Saltburn is this bandstand. The floor is a map of the Villages and Towns from the surrounding area, and there are wrought iron scenes on each side of the bandstand.
